The project: To empower skaters to ride across the block, through towns, and over mountains. It's about pushing your board AND yourself to new heights.
Let's advance distance skating, welcome to the Blueridge Project!
Not everyone realizes people can skate 300+ miles in 24 hrs, skatepack across mountains, or that there is science to the sport, we want to change this by documenting ours, and other peoples journeys to bring some LDP stoke.
Ride, camp, repeat. Experience the open road and nature. Skatepacking is the romantic side of distance skating with blood sweat and tears... But also amazing views.
We go down fast, we go up less fast, and we try to do it with joy. By showing people we can also skate uphill, we hope to teach the community that there's more than the downhill.
Racing is a way to engage with a community of athletes and stay inspired. We want more people to try LDP (long distance push), a highly rewarding, low-impact, spine-neutral, form of exercise.
Another passion of mine is training, longboards technology, and helping others learn how to optimize themselves and learn.
